CORE FITNESS STUDIO

Malibu Gym’s brand new Core Fitness Studio combines several yoga classes and Pilates classes a week to give members a mind body connection of core focused exercises.

PILATES PROGRAM
We are very pleased to be able to offer our members several choices of The Pilates Method classes.

Pilates is an intelligent exercise that translates into profound results for everyone. The benefits from Pilates are numerous. Core strength and stability; improved balance and coordination; longer, leaner muscles and better posture. The Malibu Gym offers private training, semi-private or small classes of three on the reformer.

The Pilates Method, created by Joseph Pilates over 80 years ago was developed to strengthen the deep, core muscles as well as the larger external muscles. A Pilates work out uses spring-loaded resistance instead of weights. You will work many muscle groups at the same time rather than one isolated group.

We have three Stott Pilates reformers that engages members in a semi-private setting with a highly trained certified Pilates instructor. This 60 minute work-out will utilize the entire apparatus paying full attention to the six principals developed by Joseph Pilates: control, concentration, centering, breathing, rhythm and precision.

We offer several Pilates Mat classes a week both morning and evening. Class schedule

By utilizing the Pilates Method you will develop better muscle control and balance while increasing coordination. This challenging work out is designed for athletes, rehabilitation and improving overall quality of life.

YOGA PROGRAM
Continuing with the mind body connection we are proud to offer members a variety of Yoga classes in which to choose. Yoga poses are designed to heal the body, mind, and the soul. Physically, yoga improves flexibility and strength using the whole body for weight and balance. It sharpens the body and the mind and increases concentration. As you practice the poses you are challenged to connect to your universal soul.

BODY SCULPTING
Body Sculpting is a strength training workout that combines flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning using 3 to 9 pound weights. Body sculpting is designed to shape and tone the body without building muscular size or bulk. Body sculpting is highly recommended to those enrolled in a weight loss program because it helps retain lean muscle tissue while boosting metabolism. Any fitness level can enroll.

TRX Training
The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise – because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.
